| Proper Weapon Designation

On the black ops page theres an argument over ak-74u. The game calls it a AK-74u, and it has no stock. Some people think its an aks 74u. Thing is the soviet designation is "S" for folding stock, and without a stock its not a AKS, just an AK. So, should "s" still stay in title?

It's an AKS-74u with the stock removed. The guy (kid) arguing for the different name is being very pedantic and needs to chill.

The Soviets never produced a model of the gun without the folding stock, and since the lack of the stock is only relevant to COD:BO, I don't see why we can't call it the AKS-74U and mention that it is called the "AK-74u" in COD because it lacks the stock.

The "AK-74u" thing was actually a holdover from the first Modern Warfare, where a polymer-magged AKMS with a top-folder was called "AK-74u"

Exactly. People like that need to be put in their place.
