Scoped M1A Rifles are not m21 Sniper Rifles
How many times do i have to tell people that Scoped M1A rifles are NOT M21 rifles. There is a simple way to tell this but people do not pay attention. It's also a problem that the M21 Picture is of a scoped M1A that POI uploased and called a M21. Real M21 Rifles are Select fire M14 Rilfes given both the National Match upgrade and a ART scope. Sometimes i get really annoyed at explaining it over and over again. I know I'm going to have to go over the M14 page again and correct things again.

Them being people who need to do their homework.
The M1A used in Tears of the Sun is an Obvious M1A as you can see the empty space where the FA fire control lug should be in the notch from the M14 stock it's mounted in. I've tried to explain to people that unless you can see the FA fire control switch or a Fire control lock it's a M1A. PS: The suposed M21 image that Person of Interest uploaded as a referance is a scoped M1A not an M21. I should upload a US Army image over it showing a real M21 with the fire control lock installed. can i get a mod to delete POI's Xm21 file so i can upload a B&W image of a real M21? I'm having all sorts of issues with changeing that file. The fact that I have a POS computer doesn't help.

Edit, Why not still use the "clone" M21 pic POI uploaded since that's what actually being used in films. I could give a damn about a video game matching up.

Well Predator,
It's a matter of haveing the correct image for the weapon. If MPM2008 had put a scope and mount on the M14 with the selector lock then i would use that image but he didn't so I've had to hunt down an Image of a real M21. It's one of those if you can't do it right don't do it at all sorts of things. I decided to clean up and double check everything on the M14 page so I am doing my best to see that it's done right. |
