Give 'em Hell, Malone
OK, so I'm watching a straight-to-video action movie, "Give 'em Hell, Malone" and the main character has this revolver which obviously has no top strap (you see daylight when he's reloading.) I thought it was total BS, but when I later got a better look at the gun, it shoots from the bottom of the cylinder, not the top like a normal revolver (the barrel lines up below the cylinder centerline.) I did a search and found out it's the world's only "Automatic Revolver", a Mateba Model 6 Unica, aka Mateba Autorevolver. Very unique gun, perfect for this cheezeball movie!
Tons of blood ala Tarantino, but this film's creator is no Tarantino. Cheezy, to an extreme. I'd add the movie to the database, but I don't understand how to do it. Tons of guns in this one. Scott in Penfield NY |

Good to have you with us, Scott. Now, making a page is a bit of work. Have you ever edited a Wiki before?

Incidentally, Thomas Jane owns the gun.

Actually, the Mateba isn't the only automatic revolver. The most well-known is the Webley-Fosbery, which was first made in 1901. There was also the Spanish Zulaica in 1904.
