Not being IMPORTED in the U.S. has a lot to do with them not appearing in movies. The few that got into the country in the 1980s are now super expensive because ATF banned their importation (ATF sure does a lot of that don't they?) But if they came in greater numbers, (like the imported HK, AK, etc.) they would probably be in more films, or at least be represented more in movie armories.
