By early Smith and Wessons I'm basically talking about the original top break revolvers. I've seen various naming conventions for these, for example have seen the same gun called the
Model 2 Double Action, .38 Double Action, Double Action 2nd Model, Double Action #2 and all kinds of other names. Is there an officially recognised term for these revolvers? If not, what should we list them as?
