Though I bought it when it first came out, I recently finished Hitman: Absolution. Let me start by saying I'm a HUG fan of the Hitman series. I like action and gunplay in video games, but the random massive scale of the violence in games like Saint's Row and GTA get to be, aside from completely unbelievable, a bit much for me. And it's really no-thought-involved gameplay.

Hitman: Absolution was, much like the most recent Star Trek reboot, a great action game, but it didn't feel like a Hitman game. The elements are all there. You have instanced levels, you have weapons and disguises to use and collect, and the stealth and patience are all present. However, you're not out on a contract basis and the entire plot of the game is a personal vendetta not an assassin taking out sanctioned targets. While I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay, I miss the classic Agent 47 game.

Next up, lvling all 8 of my toons on SWTOR. Guh.
