I won the bid on the Winchester 1200 at an estate auction a couple weeks ago. The owner had been a doctor for several decades and really liked shotguns. All types from expensive European SxS to affordable single shot 20 and 410 gauge shotguns. My guess is the 1200 was used as a deer gun. The scope is a Weaver K-1.5. Designed for shotguns and short range shooting. Especially fast close range shooting with slugs and 00 buckshot. The good doctor took very good care of his shotguns. The Winchester just caught my fancy. After all was said and done (taxes, buyer's premium, FFL fee) I paid $300 for it.
