Thank you for the response. I've read a lot of reviews and I think the Heritage would be a good starter point. Cheap ammo, low recoil, easy to learn how to shoot on, and in a defense situation, while it may not have "stopping power" like a bigger bore would, it's proven that 92% of all defense situations involving a gun do not result in any rounds being fired, producing the weapon is enough. Aside from that, while it may be a smaller round with less power, I doubt anyone wants shot with it. The gun itself, all talk of ammo aside, gets good reviews for quality and consistency, and it has a lifetime warranty.
