Sorry to all the new guys who may have not seen this, but taking someone else's photo (usually mine) and using Photoshop to make a different configuration is not allowed on IMFDB. When I see a 'frankengun' i.e. a composite picture taken from photos of other guns, I usually delete it on sight.

Call it 'a photographer thing' but having anyone take our original work and modify it (sometimes claiming it to be THEIR original work) is a major no no in the photography world. Ask ANY professional photographer if this is acceptable and they will give you 'the look'.

There are exceptions in that the users made an obvious note that the photo was a composite of some of my pics, but this is a polite heads up for me to actually get a REAL pic of the gun configuration. At least the originator is polite and making it well known that this is a 'temporary' placeholder.

We have many guns on IMFDB which are not available nor seen anywhere else in the world. If 'composite' works of fiction with Photoshop become 'the norm' it will call into question the authenticity of our photographs with outside viewers.

BTW, even though I don't take requests, if there is something really egregiously missing, drop me a line. I WILL put it on my to do list. I just stopped taking requests, because people were actually hounding me as to 'why I was taking so long' to get new pics. But if you send it as a suggestion, when I have the time, I will reconfigure guns as I have done many times before and photograph them for the page.
