In New York Buckshot is not allowed for hunting, period. Buckshot can only be used for home defense. Slugs are all I can use, which is fine by me anyway since I'd rather hit the deer at a good distance with a solid shot than hit it in mulitple spots or hope it hits at all past 40 yards.
