Ive always wondered how u.s. pistols are named, or instance we go from the 1911 to the m9 and m11, and skip all the other guns.
the carbines are accounted for.
The rifles are m1, m14, m16, skipping abunch.
sniper rifles are all over, m40, m21, m24.
I wonder who names these
