I believe it merits the distinction of NOT being a centerfire cartridge round. Also I would think it was RARE anyway. It would be nice to see what year the BP Percussion cap shotgun was introduced and what it was supplanted by the BP Centerfire cartridge version.


Also I think that percussion cap shotguns don't have the barrel length requirements as smokeless poweder centerfire shotguns. I think they're viewed as being kin to BP blunderbuss pistols and thus you can have 10" barrels legally.

(don't quote me on that. it WAS kosher at one time, but anti-gun politicians are relentless in nickel and diming us to death on tiny technical restrictions)
