I know what you guys mean. I first rented CoD4 expecting a decently realistic shooter, then I was shocked to find optic-equipped M4s with their front sight posts
removed entirely. I've never seen or played a single game that has weapon malfunctions in it.
Movies are the same way, at least in terms of malfunctions. I've only seen one movie that had them (Bravo Two-Zero), two if you count Black Hawk Down when one of the Deltas calls out "I'm jammed" while holding his head up in full view of the Somali machine gun team.
