The muzzle device is too long to be a real US military one, so my guess is that it is permanently welded on to give the rifle the minimum 16" barrel length for normal civilian sales (like
this one). As for specifically what it is, I think it might be an Olympic Arms carbine as it appears to have the "Stowaway" pistol grip that they had.
Edit: Just to add, that isn't an A2 receiver, but an A1E1 as it has the A1 style rear sights. OA also tended to use this design on their earlier weapons rather than the A2.
