Because, you know, the military has a lot of uses for square .22LR pistols.

I've already gotten to handle one and not only is it a Square pistol but it's unreliable, unsafe and the best way to shoot it is with your left hand, pulling the trigger with your middle finger. The guy who handed it to me acted like a DI handing the training platoon clutz his first live grenade.
