I don't know of any family members of mine serving in WWII (my dad was born a few months after the attack on Pearl Harbor), but I hold in the highest regard all of those, past and present, who fight to preserve our way of life, whether it's storming the beaches of Normandy or or humping the mountains in Afghanistan.
