It's a matter of etiquette really. Everyone has their preference, yes, but at the same time, everyone has their preference. It's one thing to say you hate something and another to say you don't like it because you like something better, and when it comes to something like firearms, where fanboyism, misinformation, disinformation and poorly generated opinions run rampant, you should have respect for other people's opinions if they are well founded enough. Hatred and total barring of something shows a lack of etiquette, a lack of respect, and most of all, ignorance, and it makes one seem uneducated and biased, sometimes wrongfully so.
