Well Dead Rising was just a fun game to play. It wasn't meant to be scary or suspenseful, but more of a parody of zombie stories. Try killing a zombie with everything at your disposal.

Yeah, I didn't like the running zombie effect either. They should have made it with slow walking zombies with only a handful of runners and special ones to make tension better.
