I'm still not sure I understand why so much hate for Family Guy...

As far as the show itself, I liked it a lot when I was younger, but lately, I must admit it's starting to seem derivative.

Might be. "South Park" does tend to mock gun...

Might be. "South Park" does tend to mock gun ownership pretty frequently, but Tre and Matt are Libertarians, so it wouldn't surprise me.
