New Spammer Bot ValeryDam
 

There is a new spammer bot Member : ValeryDam who is sending private messages to members. Don't click the message read receipt button! I cannot delete this member until they post in the forums. Bunni can, but I don't have the MOD privileges to ban them until they post a message in the forums.

Right now they are trying to input SPAM email into member's private folders. DELETE it right away. I and other Mods will be watching. Either Bunni can delete this spammer's account right away, or I will be watching the forums, if they post, then they're 'toast'.....

I've gotten 3 messages from this bot (which is actually online right now as I'm typing this) at this point. Not that I plan on doing so, but what happens if I click the receipt button?

Ninjas come to your house and kill you or your computer will be infected with viruses or whatever. I'm not sure which

I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of him.

Alright, I just killed him. If you visit his profile, you'll see he's now Banned.

Actually, it turns out that we can ban users who haven't posted in the forum, but the proceedure's a bit more complicated. You have to click on their User profile, then go to "Edit User Profile", and you'll see a bunch more options, including the option to ban users.

And no, I didn't know this myself until I tried it out a few minutes ago. But I'm telling all y'all now for future reference.

Too bad theres no filter for registration....like having to answer a few questions about basic firearms knowledge.

Or the standard "type what you see" things.

Recaptcha, the admin should install it, or some basic questions about guns.
