Another price check: S&W 5906 Novak.
 

I've come up with a new 9mm project and I'd like to know what I could get for my S&W in order to fund it. It's a 5906 with the low mount Novak sights, rounded trigger guard and backstrap. It's in 95 percent condition or better, with a light polish, and most or all damage on the xenoy wraparound grips, which were like that when I got them. I have a S&W hard case and 3 factory 15 round mags. Anyone have an idea what it would sell for at a store or a pawn shop or something?

My Standard Catalog of Firearms prices a S&W 5906 in that condition (excellent) at about $500. With the Novak sights, I'd say add $15-20. For the three spare magazines I'd add $30-40 since they are factory high-capacity mags and the price for most S&W mags is around $10-15.

Most of the 3rd Gens Smiths go for around $400 to $500 nowadays, I gather, depending on condition. I haven't looked at a Blue Book in a while, but that was the trend I noticed.
