M1903 Springfield bullpup
Doing research for a GI Joe story centered around Sgt. Savage and ran upon this interesting pic.
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1115/scan0001xtb.jpg It's kind of weird looking, but still pretty cool I must say. Although I have serious issues with the ergonomics of it. Seems like it would be pretty rear-heavy and manipulating the bolt would be extremely awkward. But still, pretty neat. :) |

None that I can find, but this was John Garand's final project before he retired.

Israeli law enforcement still uses M1 Carbines, and they came up with this.
If they just wanted it to be shorter, why not just go for a folding stock? |
The Israels also made another chassis for the M1 Carbine a few years ago.
