Springfield Armory Lighweight Champion Operator vs Springfield Armory Operator
Getting a new handgun? Don't know which one to get. I hear that the aluminum frame on the Lightweight Champion Operator has problems? Need some input.
|
Both have lightweight aluminum frames, heard both are solidly built though. The MC operator has a steel frame. Its a bit more expensive but looks Badass. The Champion is a 4'' bushinless bull barrel, which should be a better carry gun. The regular operator is 5 inch, dont know if it is a traditional or bull barrel.

Do you want the 4" Champion or the 5" Operator? If it's just going to be a range gun, I guess go with 5". With a 4" but with the rail I'm not sure about cc with that, but it could be done. I want to check out the EMP.

Springfield's rail doesn't actually protrude bad. Very well desighned.

I don't care about weight. It's the reliability I'm worried about, and hollow point feeding. And I also meant the MC operator vs Lightweight Champion Operator. I would like the lightweight because it's shorter. But the MC operator is more badass looking and made of pure steel.

Id get the MC for joy of shooting and being way more badass. The Lightweight Champion is a carry, not range, gun. Springfield makes all steel champion loaded models if you like that. There both reliable.
