Looks like it might be pretty good from the trailer. And it'll be great to get another Max Martini fix. :D I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another Redacted...

As far as guns go, at 1:02 I see what appears to be a tricked out M4 (hard to say for sure from the angle) laying on the hood of a Humvee and a GI 1911 at 1:57.

It looks to me like it might well be that kind of film. Either way, it's certainly not a "Hurt Locker"-type movie.

Also, it seems to me that Max Martini only has a supporting role in this movie. His brother Christopher is the star, as well as the director and screenwriter (and he also wrote the IMDB summary).

A little bit of searching turns up Max Martini's website where it claims that "recently, TROOPER was shown to a group of Veterans and military writers who enthusiastically applauded it and wrapped their support around it", so I don't know just yet.

But not unlike Redacted and Stop-Loss, I'm gonna wait until I learn more about it before I pass judgment, though.

"Jarhead" also got lots of applause from veterans, even though that movie also has anti-war sentiments.
