I would ponder if they're going to include Jem and the Holograms in this universe, but considering its abysmal performance, they probably want to forget that movie ever happened.

Speaking of bombs, this is never a good sign:

And a 4% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Given that this movie is being directed by the guy who did the latest Macbeth adaptation, this has the potential to be good:

Why not just a straight reboot at this point?

Speaking of which, I remember an adaption of Macbeth I watched a year ago, with Patrick Stewart in the title role. It was set in what was supposed to be Stalinist Russia, and used all the original dialogue which worked really well. The only problem I had with it was that the soldiers who attack Macbeth's castle are wearing UCP and carrying AKs, and Macbeth uses a luger and what looks like a beretta, despite what country he's supposed to be in.

They made a 3rd one of these? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk_CY3ZGAYo

And I bet because of straight to DVD budget, they didn't get anything right again like the last movie about Jarheads

Weird. That reminds me of that Richard III adaptation that Ian McKellan was in that took place in a Nazi Germany-inspired 1930s England.
