I bought a copy of Black Mask and Smoking Aces

Just watched Max Payne. Good movie, but terrible video game-to-movie adaption. I'll never look at Mila Kunis the same ever again... XD

Speaking of Mila, what happened to Mona? She's in an elevator with the doors closing and two security guards unloading assault rifles at her, then after the doors close she's never seen again.

Maybe some asshole shot her in the face like in the game

Spartan198 04-11-2011 11:33 PM

I thought she was shot in the back in the game?

Unless you're an achievement whore. You can get a 1000G in 5-7 painful hours

It was the first movie I saw Mila in and I thought she was pretty badass. I didn't see her comedic work before that.

S&Wshooter 04-15-2011 12:17 AM

I'm pretty sure it is on instant

Spartan198 04-16-2011 11:55 AM

Just 2-1/2 days until SOCOM 4 drops.

S&Wshooter 04-16-2011 09:05 PM

Men Of War was a good action flick. Tons of violence

Swordfish941 04-17-2011 03:16 AM

I just saw Hanna. Really good film. I suggest seeing it.

Spartan198 04-17-2011 08:30 AM

I'm in the middle of a free preview of HBO and Cinemax and been watching a number of movies I've been wanting to see. Already watched Drag Me to Hell and Jennifer's Body, need to finish Green Zone, and still have Land of the Lost, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and Ninja Assassin to go.

The one with Dolph Lundgren, Catherine Bell, the cross-eyed guy from Friday, the Australian guy from Mortal Kombat, and the Chinese guy from L&O: SVU?

k9870 04-17-2011 05:32 PM

Fallout DLC is coming soon. Nice.

Oh really? When? And which one is it?

Swordfish941 04-18-2011 10:46 AM

What's this? A Robert Pattinson that I actually want to see?

Think its "honest hearts" no actual date but it was announced.

k9870 04-18-2011 01:34 PM

Im kind of exited about LA Noire, seems very story driven.

You should get it anyway. You can probably get the first two for less than $30 combined, and they're excellent games.

mpe2010 04-22-2011 12:38 PM

I liked the first assassin's creed better, I thought the second one was hard to get into.

I thought 2 was better, game-wise, but I thought 1 had the better setting. Granted, I think there was a lot more you could do with Renaissance Italy than with a Crusader-era Holy Land, but I've always been more interested in the Crusades.

They've got a new Bourne. (Well, not really...)

What actually got me into the Assassin's Creed series was seeing the trailer to the 3rd game. I wanted to play that so I had pre-ordered it and bought the second game used. And I really liked it. I remember playing the first game and it didn't interest me at all. I got the first game because I wanted to see what part of the story I missed out.

k9870 04-22-2011 05:22 PM

Ezio was a much better character than altair. And in the second 2 supporting casts were much better, very in depth personalities and character. The first seemed flat. The whole series is known for sucky endings though.

Excalibur 04-23-2011 02:29 AM

Sequel endings always suck. They really want to force the cliff hanger so you'd be hyped to buying the next game

k9870 04-23-2011 02:40 AM

Assassin creed isnt cliffhanger sucky its endings make no sense and suck sucky.

funkychinaman 04-23-2011 03:12 AM

The ending of AC1 was a bit anticlimactic. The ending to AC2 was much, much better.

Spartan198 04-23-2011 03:55 AM

I ended up a bit disappointed with SOCOM 4. Seems not even the greatest squad-based tactical shooter series I've ever played can escape the evil clutches of "casualization". Squad orders have been cut drastically (no longer can you tell them to throw grenades, go to a specific way point on the map, or when to "hold fire" or "fire at will"), my teammates can't stay the fuck out of my line of fire or go a single mission without getting me compromised because they won't stay put where I tell them to, and the "battlefield romance"-like bit that the player character, Cullen Gray, had going on with his female teammate was really fucked up and out of place.

The gun situation was something else, though. In the previous games, you could collect and use ammo from dropped weapons as long as they were of the same caliber, but they went way beyond just that this time. Now, if you're carrying a Negev, you can use ammo from dropped RPK-74s. If you have an M60, you can use ammo from dropped PKMs. If you have a FAL, you can use ammo from dropped M4s and AK102s. If you have an M4, you can take ammo from dropped AK102s, FALs, Mark 17 SCARs, and the scant few ACRs (which, BTW, can also take ammo from dropped AK102s and FALs) you find in a couple of levels, but not F2000s or FAMAS which use the same magazine as the M4. If you have an MP5, you can use ammo from dropped MP7s and P90s. What the hell? You can still put optics and suppressors on and off your guns at will, but once you unlock bipods, foregrips, or grenade launchers for a gun, they're permanently attached (unless you pick up one that doesn't have it off the battlefield). And the fact that the grenade launcher on the M4 in this game was a fucking GP25 instead of an M203 really pissed me off.

I bought Shooter last night. The ending is awesome because the assholes got pwned by Bobby Lee Swagger.

k9870 04-24-2011 11:40 PM

Wish they based it more on the book....the hill battle he fought off 150 dudes instead of like 20.

I must buy that book.

k9870 04-24-2011 11:52 PM

Point of impact, stephen hunter then time to hunt, which was awesome, him and his spotter take on a north vietnames battalion and lay waste. Then he deuls a russian sniper. Sweet. Ive also read i, sniper, which was great. He based a lot of characters on real people and you can tell:

Main bad guy: Ted Turner.

Hanoi Joan Flanders: Well, if you cant tell that then your an idiot.

Bill ayers gets his head blown off too.

Then chuck mawhinney comes to help bob (forgot what name was changed to.)

Great author.
