I'm installing Vietcong 2 right now

k9870 01-11-2011 12:58 AM

SW shooter has to get out of combat training and play online.

every match I have played has gone like this:

I spawn
Immediately killed
Respawn
Killed within 5 seconds
Respawn
Spawn killed again

I hate Call of Duty online

k9870 01-11-2011 03:01 AM

Everybody does poorly at first, keep at it and gain skill.

You can't gain skill when assholes kill you a few seconds after spawning

k9870 01-11-2011 03:17 AM

I always spawn away from action and have to run to it to get kills

k9870 01-12-2011 01:40 PM

In Black ops, I gotta say, Sticks And Stones is THE WORST GAME MODE EVER CREATED. It has nothing to do with skill its all random.

S&Wshooter 01-12-2011 05:36 PM

Vietcong 2 is the shortest game I have ever played. It takes five disks and a full hour to install, but the game is only a few hours long. I want my $12 back

mpe2010 01-13-2011 02:24 AM

The only wager match I play is sharpshooter.

k9870 01-15-2011 03:08 AM

Just saw The Fighter, loved it.

S&Wshooter 01-15-2011 03:09 AM

I watched Vengeance a minute ago. It was good enough for me to want to buy a copy

Swordfish941 01-16-2011 03:34 AM

This is the greatest game made for the Nintendo 64:

Okay. Banjo Kazooie and Legend of Zelda: Orcarina Of Time are two of the greatest games made for the Nintendo 64.

Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor playing gay lovers? This should be interesting:

The title is a bit misleading. I thought it was a movie about the cigarette industry a la "Thank You For Smoking."

S&Wshooter 01-31-2011 06:07 PM

I watched Apocalypse Now Redux on Friday. It was about the weirdest movie I have ever seen. It seems surreal, but according to my one of my family members (served as a SEAL in 'Nam, operating mostly in the Mekong Delta), it is the most realistic movie out there about the Vietnam War

k9870 01-31-2011 07:50 PM

I wouldnt all that realistic at all with the surfing and everything.

Not the surfing, but the general attitude

k9870 01-31-2011 09:35 PM

The only realism to impress me was generation kill.

quoted for truth

k9870 01-31-2011 09:41 PM

I liked that they act like real soldiers, bitching about MRES, talking about combat jacks, doing dip all the friggin time, not acting like stereotypical action movie characters. They acted like real people.

funkychinaman 01-31-2011 10:37 PM

I saw the Redux edition on the big screen when it came out like ten years ago. Seeing the helicopter assault on the big screen was probably worth the price of the ticket alone. But I thought most of the restored scenes just screwed up the pacing of a film that was already way too slow to begin with. I did like how they explained the stolen surfboard bit though.

Swordfish941 01-31-2011 10:47 PM

I've watched the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. When I saw the scene where Lisbeth gets revenge on her asshole sadist guardian, I thought "Is that the best you can do? Shove a dildo up his ass and tattooing 'I'm a sadistic pig, pervert, and rapist' to his chest? You could of at least cut his balls off and flush them down the toilet.".

Marines. Generation Kill is about The United States Marine Corp. Never ever confuse a "Soldier" with a Marine. There's a difference

That's because they all were real people. Also, one of the Recon Marines in "Generation Kill" isn't an actor; he's a real-life Marine playing himself.

Fruity Rudy FTW!

He was on another show, something about the apocalypse

k9870 02-01-2011 05:27 PM

I know he played himself, but remeber, the rest were actors, even if they were playing real people, and they did good acting, directors made combat seem real, not over the top, etc. The Pacific was also very good.

Excalibur 02-01-2011 07:35 PM

I really like the Pacific, though for some reason I think they just shoved the sex scenes in there for the sake of it even though Band of Brothers barely had one. I didn't get it and part of me think it's something that was pushed in so we can have some sex

S&Wshooter 02-01-2011 07:38 PM

I wish I had gotten to see The Pacific, but I didn't get a chance

k9870 02-01-2011 07:42 PM

Netflix, and the sex scenes are realism, nobody whos been gone for years fighting is going to not try to have it.....the combat was intense too.

It's on Netflix? I'm going to have to take a look at that

apocalypse man, and some fitness thing. i think one was on the discovery channel.

and the pacific is great, yes there is sex, but that's entirely realistic, it also shows how the characters dealt with stress and that sort

It's not really about "realism". As a man, I love sex but I've been seeing a pattern since watching the Pacific about some new shows that would have sex scenes just to be in there. TV show creators don't add things in unless they have some ulterior reason behind it and it's not usually for "realism"
