If you have console, I'd recommend to at least try it out if you liked Fallout 3. I've been having a hell of a time with mods

Traditional zombies, the type where everyone who dies for any reason comes back as a zombie.

Excalibur 11-03-2010 02:45 AM

They are traditional Romero zombies. Sometimes they walk slowly and shuffle around and something they can run. It's not clear if some can run or some can walk.

Like the ones form Resident Evil can only walk and maybe walk fast but never run at top speed like in Dawn of the Dead.

The zombies in Walking Dead looks like they have more intelligence, like the ability to grasp door handles and twist them and more aware of their surroundings. They also seem to "remember" where they were last killed or even homes and would revisit them constantly and even try to enter the house. Also object memory like a little girl zombie still clutching her teddy or picking up her stuff bunny. These are even more dangerous zombies that traditional ones

finally found the episode online, amc or hulu definitely need to post it.

S&Wshooter 11-05-2010 07:16 PM

Anyone else sort of want to see Faster?

Swordfish941 11-05-2010 08:59 PM

That looks way funnier than most comedies that have come out in recent years

The only thing that bothers me is that Justin Timberlake is in that movie. Replace him with someone like Joseph Gordon Levitt, and I'm a happy camper.

I saw Timberlake on TV a few months ago on some talk show and he proved to not be the idiot I previously believed him to be

I'm waiting until Christmas

Excalibur 11-06-2010 03:16 AM

Good for you. I pre-ordered my copy. So I am getting mine on Tuesday

I would have preordered, but I used up my game budget for a few months buying Fallout. I'd be able to get it if I had a job, but Best Buy won't hire me and I cannot work at Krogers because the hours are crazy

S&Wshooter 11-07-2010 02:52 AM

I saw Red again because my mom wanted to see Due Date and my Brother wanted to see Red but couldn't get in by himself so I had to go with him. At least its good enough to warrant a 2nd veiwing and I got to look at Mary Louise Parker for another 2 hours :p

EDIT: Mary Louise Parker is 46? What the hell?

Yup. She looks about 33

Excalibur 11-07-2010 04:10 AM

I gotta tell you, Asian chicks have it good. I've seen some in their 40s and they look like they are 30

Swordfish941 11-07-2010 08:16 PM

This movie is basically Spiderman vs Swofford:

Cod makes me wonder about the asp, i hear its still in production for custom order as the asp 2000 using a 3913 over a 39 but cant find online the site of who makes it.

Excalibur 11-08-2010 03:48 AM

And Black Ops comes out in less than 2 days.

I actually can't wait for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

I'm expecting CoD on my doorstep Tuesday. It looks like Walmart finally figured out this whole "pre-order" thing, because I actually got Halo:Reach on the day it released, unlike MW2 where they MAILED IT OUT on the day it was released.

I think I'm going to wait on AC Brotherhood. AC I and especially AC II started affected my life negatively. (No, I didn't run around stabbing people, I just stayed up too late playing it. On the plus side, I got all but two Achievements on AC II.)

Excalibur 11-08-2010 06:49 PM

The ending of AC 2 still was a WTF moment.

k9870 11-08-2010 09:13 PM

Im kind of surprised theres no controversy around black ops like there was around MW2. Or even medal of honor, where they flipped out over playing as taliban but you play as NVA in this,

[[Spoiler ahead.]] Honestly, I'm shocked that it's not as controversial as it could have been. Kids playing as Taliban, ban it! ALL RELIGION IS A HUGE LIE? Not a peep.

Excalibur 11-08-2010 10:07 PM

I guess Vietnam and the Cold War isn't so much controversy as it is today. The stigma of the Nam era is not the brightest spot

I guess the thing about the end of AC 2 is that...it was such a twist ending and you'd have to PLAY the game in its entirety. If the developers spoiled it so much...maybe

Aside from the fact that it's an ongoing conflict, the NVA was, and is still, a legitimate national army. The Taliban is officially designated a Foreign Terrorist organization by the US State Department. (And presumably, the equivalent in most western governments as well.)

k9870 11-08-2010 10:13 PM

I think its stupid its acceptable to play in a game as wermacht and NVA/VC but not as the taliban. They were all bad guys. What makes a bad guy acceptable? Just "when enough time passes its okay" mentality?

Excalibur 11-08-2010 10:21 PM

Too soon?

Well how many WWII games outside of singleplayer where you play the Axis power?

k9870 11-08-2010 10:23 PM

Every WW2 game you play as an axis power in multiplayer.

Excalibur 11-08-2010 10:27 PM

As i said, OUTSIDE of multiplayer.

Also...I think no one cares about WWII. It happened over half a century ago and the people who do care are either dead or too old to know what video games are.

Also the US's involvement with the Axis power wasn't as personal as the US today and our feelings for the terrorists.

thought you were talking about multiplayer seeing it said sp here.

But then its stupid that a video game is taken so seriously. How many crime games where you gun down cops are asked to change names or censor themselves?

Excalibur 11-08-2010 10:37 PM

The media and upstart and old politicians love to use games as cannon fodder for teen violence

To avoid litigation from the former Infinity Ward guys, perhaps?

You fail for not having a diverse choice in movies.

Clutch 11-10-2010 02:23 AM

So, how about the inaccuracies with the weapons? Are the truly obnoxious ones restricted to multiplayer, or did Treyarch do the obvious and throw them all throughout the campaign?

k9870 11-10-2010 02:40 AM

The famas is in campain, As is almost all the historically innacurate weapons. And the 1887 for some reason fires 2 shots before you spin the lever again.....

And I thought it was just me that it was strange for the 1887 fires twice.

Also the Vietcong also appeared to have AK74Us even though the magazines make them look like shorten AK47s and I wouldnt mind the AK74Us except that the year isn't 1974 yet.

The M16 and the Commando have literal flat tops. There aren't rails, but smooth flat surfaces so some kind of claw mount will attached the sights. We have a CIA operative with patterned camo that shouldn't exist. In one mission, your Commando has tiger stripped camo on it.

Let's see what other oversights. Vietcongs with SPAS-12s.

The M16 with the flat top and "ACOG" with an M203 attached...in 1961 during the Bay of Pigs.

The flamethrower attachment is stupid.

Apparently the scope is called an "ACOG" and even the Russians have them.

The G11 is a special weapon found in a weapons stash some Russian guy got in Hong Kong.

The PSG-1 is in the game. I don't know when this rifle first came out, but the year was obviously before the 70s.

I'll get back to you on what else is stupid

k9870 11-10-2010 03:06 AM

The "acogs" are non magnified, and also, the cz-75 epic fail. 12 round mag as single pistol, but then you dual wield and they hold 20 each?

Excalibur 11-10-2010 03:11 AM

The fact that there ARE CZ-75s in a mission that took place before 1975 when the pistol was invented.

And yeah the PSG-1 was developed after 1972
