I think her gun is a dressed up Glock. It is definitely a real gun, it appears to be practically firing in the trailer and there was a BTS featurette a couple of days ago that was them filming a scene with her and Batou firing their guns as they get out of a car and they were definitely live firing. Someone even made a point of saying that the blanks were exceptionally powerful ones. There are actually photos of various guns from the press event in Tokyo including her pistol, and in that one the real gun part is actually transparent with the bullets visible inside. It isn't like this in other scenes so either she uses different pistols (this one was labelled "Major's Thermoptic Pistol"), or it changes when she goes into camouflage mode. These pictures also show that her rifle is a dressed up X95. |
Should we start a page and take photos from that and put it on our page?

Watched the series premiere of Shooter last night. Pretty good ... aside from the fact that it almost completely rehashed the plot from the movie.

For once, I decided to go against my instinct and buy the Legacy Edition of COD: Infinite Warfare so I can get access to the COD4 Remastered. Thankfully, I bought it on a discount thanks for Black Friday.

The Remastered is mostly the same gameplay. I wished they redid looking down the sights of certain optics like the EOtech to not take up the whole screen like in later COD games and I really really wished...they made the "M4" look better. They could have easily swapped out the stupid cheapo red dot with something like an Aimpoint or ACOG instead of making the front sight post disappear. I wished they added newer guns from later games as the code seemed to imply other guns. |
Anybody check out Spectral on Netflix? It's like your typical military war movie with ghosts. Makes a better movie than the reboot Ghostbusters

Preordered tickets for "Rogue One" on sunday.
So, what are y'all's opinions on Suicide Squad? |
I liked it. The plot was meh, but I really liked Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.
|
So I'm not missing too much if I just wait for it to show up on one of the premium movie channels?
|
I can fully acknowledge that Suicide Squad was a mess, but I actually really enjoyed it. If I am being honest, even though I know it is objectively a far worse movie, I think I had a better time in Suicide Squad than in Civil War. I am kind of burnt out on the core MCU at this point. I am still really looking forward to GOTG2, but that doesn't really fit into the standard Marvel film template
On a related note, it looks like they are making THREE suicide squad sequels of a sort, Gotham City Sirens starring Harley Quinn, a Deadshot spin-off, and Suicide Squad 2. Even to me that seems like overkill for a film that had the absolute shit kicked out of it by the majority of critics. |
Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot once it comes to the movie channels. I was horrendously unimpressed with either Man of Steel or Dawn of Justice but this looks like more a movie that is my speed.
As an aside, I'm a fan of some of the MCU movies, but haven't seen any of the Thor or GOTG movies nor Dr Strange. |
If they had edited the Suicide Squad better and kill the guy who edited the soundtrack, it would have been a good movie, a hell of a lot better than Batman v Superman. It's like every single scene I am sucker punched with a different song instead of typical background music. The transitions are just horrible. It's trying to be Deadpool but isn't. Not sure if giving it an R rating helped because it's not practical and it ended with another sky beam doom thing that we've seen for the past decade of films. I watched the movie last night with my brother and he said if they made the movie all about Will Smith...I mean, Deadshot, it'd be a solid movie. The man is literally carrying this movie all the way.
The gun play is pretty good, which considering the director, I expected nothing less though the actor playing Rick Flag with his sideways shooting of his rifle is just weird. He's not using tilted sights. The only thing I am thinking he (the actor) is doing is his rifle has a red dot and a magnifier and I think he's tilting the rifle all the time to look through that...which is weird. Quote:

My extremely unhealthy obsession with Halo(Red vs Blue, specifically), resurfaced recently, and I remembered these shots I took back in March in Halo 5 of the M6H2 handgun (or "Magnum"). I think that they did an amazing job with it in this game, as it seems actually quite believable, there is even a gas piston hidden under that cowl on the front, as well as a modeled bolt head on the slide, but the detail on the animations is also incredible. not only does the world model have a cycling animation, it also has an empty idle animation, as well as having a mag model drop on the ground on reloads. Not only that, but it's held with a THUMBS FORWARD GRIP! A bit weird how of all the games to be (among) the first to use the grip, it would be Halo.
Anyway, here are the aforementioned pictures. Ignore the weird-ass paintjob I have on it. https://i.imgur.com/OthFfEX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hTmAIEY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/84fgOQe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/afxJfXd.jpg EDIT: oooooooooooohhhhh shit how do I scale those down. EDIT 2: I just noticed the mag is modeled as a double stack. Cool. |

I don't think so. I think that's the magnifier that can be flipped to the side when not in use. Someone needs to get a close shot of Flag's rifle

I've been modding the hell out of Fallout New Vegas, since I got the PC version for a few bucks recently

The new Resident Evil CGI movie just dropped a trailer and unlike RE6, it looks like they animated actual real looking guns.

They brought Rebecca Chambers back just so she can't get kidnapped...and well, the white dress saids it all. It made me roll my eyes.
At least unlike RE6, the guys they are using looks like real guns. |
So after watching Forgotten Weapon's video on the Crossfire Mk.1 shotgun-over-rifle I googled it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5NK0M6HE3Y Apparently The Specialists movie armory actually has one. Why would they have one and do you think we'll ever see one in a movie? |
Hey everyone, apparently famed Future Weapons host Richard John Machowicz has just died yesterday after battle with cancer. RIP Mack

Possible, but I am kinda getting sick of seeing Mark Wahlberg followed by "from the director of the Lone Survivor"

So, I'm watching SIX and so far, it's holding my attention. Only gripe is I wonder about BUIS on rifles, do SEALs really keep their optics that far back on the rail and the reused studio sets we've all seen does distract me.

At the beginning, it was 2014. So we need some sources that they were using the Geiselle handguards at the time.

We also have to accept that this is a History Channel TV level budget. They will get a lot of things wrong. And I've come to accept the cheap sets. The actors for the most part seemed believable but as people working for the nitpicky sit of IMFDB, we will tear it a new asshole for any and all inaccuracies that we can find.
