Truth be told, I think I've outgrown John Woo. Windtalkers might have been one of the worst movies I've ever seen. He's got one gimmick, and he's run it into the ground. The most recent John Woo movie I saw was Red Cliff, and even though it's a Chinese historical costume drama, it's still unmistakably a John Woo movie.

So I looked on his IMDB page to see when Red Cliff came out, and look what I found:

Yes this is why I said "his OG Hong Kong action movies" specifically

Face/Off remake huh? Big mistake. There's no way it will be even remotely as fun as the original.

Although, the fact that our beloved Scarface (which itself was a remake) is also being remade is an even worse thing.

I got Mafia III cheap, and honestly it's totally $15 fun, even maybe $20 fun if you're being charitable, but no way $60 fun. I like it so far, but I can see why people complained about glitches and really dumb AI.

Why not just pick up Blood and Chrome rather than create a THIRD version of BSG?

Takes place in or around the year 7000 AD, but yet all the guns will still be 20th century designs using chemically-based projectile ammunition. lol

Well, second BSG takes place in the prehistoric past. The original series takes place in contemporary times, but they use energy weapons.

If you want to talk longevity, the Assault Rifle in Halo, which takes place in the 26th century, not only uses chemical-based projectiles, but is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO.

You'd think he'd just lean into it at this point. I was half expecting his character to get hit by a car at the end of The Martian.
