I figured they would've arrested him anyway. He was found wearing a business suit and a tactical vest (like the other shooters) and had a gun in his hand. I would've assumed that he was one of the shooters who had been wounded by the cops. And I'd think that being able to prevent a war between Russia and the United States would be worth the risk of being sent to a dungeon. And his close association with Makarov and the Ultranationalist movement probably would've made him even more credible, as he'd have less reason to lie.

I've been playing RE6 and this game is a mess. There's a lot of good parts in this game, but a lot of bad things

Well that's the thing, in the game you can walk an shoot now, but it really feels tacked on and in real life, you shoot while moving in certain situations.

k9870 10-06-2012 08:32 PM

Im playing moh beta, loving the peak and lean cover feature.

rds and mag does nothing at all its cosmetic, cant change zoom so thats a bit lame otherwise its sweet, changing to single shot is way to go too

The game is still in beta so maybe they will have zoom in the final.

It is. I found it to be much better than Brotherhood and Revelations.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand how a terrorist attack on an airport started the war?

Makarov made it look like Americans were responsible for the attack.

Which is stupid as hell

k9870 10-07-2012 05:17 AM

why do you always fight russia in video games? Get a new bad guy, hell even BF3made you fight russian paratroopers for no reason.

Despite the fact that the Russians had a co-conspirator in custody who said otherwise.

Evil Tim 10-07-2012 06:44 AM

I don't really get how they knew he was a CIA agent, was he wearing his "I'm a CIA agent" t-shirt over his magical fast-healing tattoos or something?

The other problem there is there was no good reason for the guy not to just shoot Makarov. Especially since if you look at what happened afterwards, killing Makarov would have prevented literally everything which followed.

SPEMack618 10-07-2012 03:36 PM

That's my biggest thing about the series. He was a fucking Army Ranger with an M-4A1/M-203, he could have taken out Makarov and probably had a fighting chance at taking on the other henchmen as well.

The Wierd It 10-07-2012 04:07 PM

So I'm browsing the forums for the Medal of Honor: Warfighter beta. Lots of people whining about how they won't buy the game because of the graphics being compressed to fit in to the 1.61GB download and thus not looking perfect.

Exactly. Nothing against Rangers, but they are not spies. Delta, SEALs, they get recruited into spy shit. And the whole badass general out in the field shooting off his revolver and wearing just his fatigues and not surrounded by guards and next gen body armor.

BeardedHoplite 10-08-2012 01:24 PM

The Man Who Fell to Earth has the most unsafe gun handling ever put to film.

k9870 10-08-2012 03:00 PM

going to see looper later

S&Wshooter 10-08-2012 11:00 PM

Mel Gibson's Get The Gringo was, surprisingly, worth watching

k9870 10-09-2012 02:41 AM

looper was good

MOH killfeed is so in beta stage, i shot a buddy with a hk416 and it said m67 grenade, then he mowed me down with an aug and it said ah64 apache:confused:

The Wierd It 10-09-2012 06:31 PM

It also lags behind the action a fair bit.

And the forums are full of people complaining that they can't unlock the SEAL. If they were that desperate to have it they should have chosen it to start.

k9870 10-10-2012 02:30 PM

I thought it was fgunny developers talked up picking your operator and "playing for the home team" but you have to unlock nationalities and only get certain classes.

The moment he pulled the trigger, you got hit by a stray round fired by an Apache's M230 Chain Gun a mile or so away.

The Wierd It 10-10-2012 02:34 PM

They've also said the unlock tree will be different in the main game.

But yeah. I hate the way classes are unlocked.

funkychinaman 10-10-2012 05:54 PM

One would think that being stuck in direct-to-DVD hell would be as low as an actor can go, but no...

Swordfish941 10-10-2012 06:00 PM

After seeing Looper and Brick, Rian Johnson gets my vote to direct a live action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop. And get Joseph Gordon Levitt as Spike.

I think it really depends on what kind of Bebop story the movie should be. There are tons of homages to genres in the show from John Woo style, to the Robert Rodriguez style, Noir, blackspoltation, etc. The movie adaption needs to be one of those and then a good director can be picked from that

funkychinaman 10-18-2012 03:42 PM

So the word is, Skyfall is really quite good.

Yeah. It seems as though every James Bond film gets good reviews when it comes out in theaters, regardless of the film's actual quality. It's only after repeated viewings on DVD/Blu-Ray/Netflix that critical and popular opinion sings a different tune. I won't forget how many positive reviews "Die Another Day" received, which I blame on the fact that it was the 20th Bond movie, and all of the hype surrounding Halle Berry at the time. Even "Quantum of Solace" - which I hope most of us now agree is quite possibly the worst Bond film in memory - got at least mixed reviews when it came up.

As for "Skyfall", it has the potential to be good, but I feel like too much of the hype comes from the fact that Sam Mendes is directing. Mendes is a director whose entire reputation rests on one movie - "American Beauty". Every movie he's made since has never lived up to the hype that is inevitably thrown at it (I am not such a huge fan of either "The Road to Perdition" or "Jarhead"). Plus, I think this whole practice of putting "artsy"/indie directors at the helm of Bond movies is a very bad idea, and I think "Quantum of Solace" epitomizes why. Bond films tend to be far better in the hands of directors who are far more concerned with staging exciting action scenes than making pretentious Oscar-winning "art". Does anyone think it's just a coincidence that the two best Bond films of the last 20 years - "GoldenEye" and "Casino Royale" - were both directed by Martin Campbell, whose entire resume consists of no-frills action cinema? I seriously wish that they'd just admit that he's the best director to happen to 007 in a long time, even if he'll probably never win an Oscar for his work, and give the franchise back to him.

I think QoS suffered a lot following up Casino Royale, but I definitely wouldn't call it the worst. A View to a Kill?

And while we can argue about the results, I give the producers credit for trying to keep the franchise fresh.

k9870 10-22-2012 02:39 AM

QOS was a bit weak but i wouldnt say it sucked as bad as everyone said, it was a fun enough movie to watch, just made you mad when you know craig can do so much better.

Casino Royale as awesome.

SPEMack618 10-23-2012 02:17 AM

I liked The World is Not Enough ad Tomorrow Never Dies, and Goldeneye is my all time favorite Bond movie.

As a literary geek, I love the idea of Daniel Craig as Bond, but have yet to be impressed by the execution of said idea.

Excalibur 10-23-2012 04:21 AM

You only live twice and the man with golden gun

The Wierd It 10-23-2012 05:08 PM

Part of me looks at all the people who criticised Craig for wearing a life jacket when he was brought to the official announcement to the press that he had the role, and wants to go back and say "So by extension you're criticising the Royal Marines who're with him for the same thing then?"

Yes, doubt the badass-ness of some of the hardest soldiers in the British military for something arbitrary.

Excalibur 10-23-2012 07:00 PM

Just started playing MoH Warfighter. It feels a little better than the previous MoH and a lot more intense than BF3
