Server Upgrades & Downtime 1am PST Saturday
 

I'm sure you've all noticed the site slowing down over the last few weeks, and over the last week in particular. To help alleviate the load on the server we will be performing some database upgrades at 1am PST this Saturday. The site will be down about an hour.

Is that why the recent changes box isn't up right now?

I appreciate the update, but...for me, it's still kinda slow.

Both the forum and the main site have been taking ages to load for me. It took the relatively small NCIS: LA page about 30 seconds to load.

The new pages/recent changes boxes are still down, and half the pictures on some pages wont load, just ahve a red x in the corner.

Seems to be quicker this morning for me.

Well even after the database upgrade we were having speed issues and were bumping on our 3.5TB monthly bandwidth cap so we just moved to new server. :D

I'll turn back on the recent pages box but I think we should move to a more traditional wiki front page - something like Wookieepedia's or Encyclopedia Dramatica's.
