Apparently shipping on my 1911 is taking a bit longer. Hopefully it'll get here by Saturday. But I can wait. I've already got Hogue grips and a couple Wilson mags for it

funkychinaman 11-13-2011 06:59 AM

I just got some Hogue grips for my GP100. I had resisted, because I just liked how the rubber/wood grips looked, but I found a set for ten bucks on ebay, and figured why not give it a shot. I haven't installed them yet, so we'll see.

I bought two of these. Anyone care to guess what they'll get turned into?

An M4gery and an AR15 Pistol?

Nope. Think old school.

The Wierd It 11-13-2011 11:33 PM

SP1? 10chars

Yournamehere 11-14-2011 02:11 AM

I'm guessing a 603/A1 and an XM177/CAR-15 build, and if so, I am extremely jelly of the A1.

DAMN! right on the money. I pretty much have everything for the M16A1 on the way. The XM177 is going to be an E2, it will be down the road. (But I still have a few things coming for it.) I have to find a barrel and get someone to cut it and permanently attach the long flash hider. To keep from having to register it as an sbr.

Edit
Here is pic of this one guys retro build. The M14 would be nice to have too.

Yournamehere 11-16-2011 08:33 AM

That's awesome that you're going to build those, and the guy who built those 3 guns is lucky to have them. He neglected to buy A1 lowers though so they aren't as authentic as they could be, thought he did get a flash hider with a bayonet lug for his M1A, so power to him for that.

Also if you know an American manufacturer that makes the older style 4 position collapsible stock, I'd like to know who they are and where to get one.

Isn't just his M16A1 clone the one without the correct receiver? The XM177E2 looks correct. (Though I'm no expert.) He may have built that one before they were available. I just grabbed that pic since he has both of them together.

This the stock I bought. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=259809624

Shame (and I guess I got lucky.) The next one he relisted has two holes drilled to make it a fixed position. That be the last one he has, not sure. You may want to contact him. He sells a few plastic ones also.

mpe2010 12-02-2011 02:50 AM

I got a Stoeger 3000 as my early Christmas present and my new upland game gun. It will never replace my 870 Wingmaster but will be fun to have something new to use. Ill get a picture soon.

I''m deciding between a Glock 35, a SIG-Sauer P226, or a Smith & Wesson Model 19 for when I get back home.

S&W Model 19, or I will be disappointed in you forever

id say the smith if you get a good deal seems model 19s are priced sky high these days. i hate glocks, the SIG is nice but ive lost my interest in them now that im shooting thumbs forward and the slides always fail to lock back.

~$600 is sky high?

He may be talking about the new classic ones out that are pricey. I'd go with an older used Smith vs a new one.

hmm I've never had that problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAIrDn6FBbw go to around the 1:20 mark

k9870 12-03-2011 02:31 PM

I see classic smiths like the 19 going for 8-9 hundred in good condition which is rediculous. The failures to lock back are since thumbs go over slide stop.

mpe2010 12-03-2011 11:28 PM

Here it is next to my 870 and Mossberg 500
http://i43.tinypic.com/vy4jd3.jpg
(sorry about crappy lighting and camera)

Excalibur 12-04-2011 01:24 AM

I want to buy stuff to add to my Mossberg and I am looking for suggestions. I bought this second hand from a copy buddy of mine and it only has a pistol grip, no stock, a vertical grip on the pump and a side saddle with a light in one of the slots.

I want to add a stock, a different pump grip, and looking for something to extend the mag tube.

Suggestions guys?

Speedfeed stocks are good. Not sure about Mossberg, but with my Rem 870s I always go with factory tube extensions.

I wish I had gone with the factory tube extension on my 870. A few years ago, I went with the ATI tube extension. It works perfectly well, but it just looks a bit cheap.

Today i just bought a Colt Detective Special! It even has custom colt built wooden grips with the gold colt logo...its almost like target grips but not as cumbersome...just enough to get a good grip with out totally filling. Very very slight holster wear but the rifling is awesome...almost like the original owner carried but never shoot. After 10 minutes with me she already has the sweet beautiful smell of G96!

Sweet detective specials are cool love how they hold 6 rounds but are the size of 5 shooters, plus the nostalgia from seeing old cop and detective shows and movies.

Did a trade at my LGS and got a no dash S&W Model 60. Also did a trade a few weeks ago and got a Springfield XD9 Tactical.

My Glock, I tried to like them I really did. But eh.

mpe2010 01-04-2012 02:57 AM

There is a real nice looking savage single shot shotgun at my local gun shop for $85 and ever since I got my first gun a stevens single shot .410, I have always had a soft spot for them.

k9870 01-04-2012 03:05 AM

I want a m&P15 22, i could try different types of grips and such and find an ar shooting style that works well cheaper than trial and error with cenerfire and it seems like a boatload of fun and training,

MoviePropMaster2008 01-04-2012 08:54 AM

Happy 2012 everyone. Started the new year picking up 2 handguns 6 long guns and 1 belt fed :D

Didn't want to spend the money, but the deal was too good and I know the value will appreciate in the future :D

predator20 01-05-2012 02:27 AM

Dammit I got outbid on an H&K. There's another one coming up in a few days with 4 mags, but the seller needs to come up with better pics.

USP 9MM. The other guy got it for a good price $500 shipped. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=267175501 But he didn't have any feedback and I wasn't about to get into a bidding war. There's another going for around in the same price with 4 mags, but the pics suck. It's supposed to be in about equal condition.

I used to want a USP in .45 sooo badly, but changed my mind after shooting one

I wouldn't mind one in a .45, but I ain't paying $50 a piece for spare mags. What didn't you like about it?

The trigger pull was the worst I have ever experienced

That's about the only thing I don't like about them. I won't be getting the other one either, too slow on the draw. Someone else got it.

SPEMack618 01-09-2012 01:16 AM

I use to want an H&K USP because I believed all the hype about H&K.

And then I got to shoot an MP-5 at AIT. And was sorely disappointed.

I want an FN of some sort I believe for my next purchase after a Colt Delta Elite and the even sooner forth coming Glock 22.
