Happy birthday to the greatest pistol design of all time. And here's to the hope that someday (when our military isn't tied up in three wars) we'll have the money to bring the 1911 back into service, through a descendant.

MEU SOC on a large scale? Nice night sights, beavertail and big usable safety? Sounds awesome!

But we need that money to buy fighter jets that will never see combat and will be obsolete in a year!

+1

Because of Hickok45s 1911 Anniversary vid, I now want to get a Springfield Range Officer and deck it out like Reeves' 1911 in Street Kings.

I'm very happy with the five I own, well four, one is still in pieces.

Happy Birthday, I holstered my Kimber Custom Eclipse Custom II today in 10mm for the special day of carry.

I guess I'll take my High Standard out of the safe and rub it down with a soft cloth or something

I wish more 1911s would be made without the ugly front cocking serrations, seems most people hate em but every gun these days is made with them, im betting one reason the range officer was so well recieved was lack of them.
