So, I am finally selling my S&W 4506

Now that I have moved back to NC, I'm going to sell the Smith & Wesson 4506-1 that my grandfather gave me a couple years back. It's for sale at TFL, here.

And here are the pictures I took:

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads-up, although I'm only going to be doing FTF sales at this time.

Boy is that a nice firearm. Wish I could drive up and buy it. Course I don't have any money. Or a car. And I already have a .45. Good luck with selling it though, not like you'll need it, people dig the 4506.

Local police like theirs. the 4506 has taken care of a few murderers and drug dealers around here.

That wouldn't be legal. You'd be crossing state lines to buy FTF, which is a big no-no with ATF.

If you really want it, and ever do have the money, and I don't sell it in the near future, I will be happy to ship to your FFL. Just for IMFDB members. Anyone else, I think I'll keep it FTF. ;)

True, but cops tend to be big buys with big hands, so a good grip on a handle that size is easy for them. As you can see from my picture, I don't really have very big hands, so the 4506 isn't such a good choice for me.

BTW, right now, I'm looking to buy a compact (but not sub-compact) pistol which I can use for conceal carry in the future. I think either an XD Compact or Glock 19 might be best (and yes, I know I've bitched about how Glocks' grips feel, but I've decided I can overlook that for conceal carry). Something like a S&W 6900 series might work for me, too. I also thought about the P229 SAS, but decided against it because I already have a SIG, plus the SAS model is hard to find for $500 (which is my price limit).

You still planning on 9mm? Also, have you looked at the CZ RAMI pistols?

Hmmm, might not be a bad choice. I thought about the compact Baby Eagle.

I also had the chance to hold a Para Ordnance Carry 9 not long ago. Would be nice, but those are also out of my price range, at least for now. Anyone know how they shoot?

Oh, yeah, and as for caliber, 9mm is preferred, but maybe .40 would be satisfactory. I don't anticipate this piece getting that much range time.

Heard great things about the RAMI, a compact 40 like that may kick bad though.
