Originally I was going to buy a Mini-14 but I came across this and decided to get this instead. Besides it has more class IMO.

shoot it yet? If not, give a report when you do. Very nice looking setup.

AdAstra2009 07-21-2010 12:16 PM

Yup, fired it a couple days ago. Works fine, though I don't know what I'd compare it to seeing as I've never had a Full Powered Rifle before.

Just impressions, like was trigger good, stock confortable, handle recoil nicely?

AdAstra2009 07-21-2010 03:50 PM

The trigger pull is very light, Rifle was comfortable, the recoil was very manageable (though I let my friend shoot it and now he has a nice Harry Potter gash and he had a grotesque amount of blood running down his forehead, all from the generic shooter error of putting your face too close to the scope combined with the fact that he didn't hold the rifle tight enough =O )

Did you make sure it wasn't Japanese made?

It is, and according to Browning all Browning A-Bolts are made in Japan. They have been since Browning shifted much of the manufacturing from Belgium to Japan in the 1970s.

Hope not.
I have actually searched google about this before I bought the rifle and I have found zero reports about it falling apart/wearing out. You probably just got a lemon.

Even smith and wesson makes lemons, as much as you dont want to believe it. A bolts are made solid from everything ive heard.
