Most big features are just getting their releases delayed. Cinema earnings are a huge chunk of studios' intake.

This would apply only to your biggest films (and fanatics like Chris Nolan). And you can only delay so much before you don't have any theaters to come back to.

The director still doesn't have it released yet. I think he wants to release it for the film festivals first. It's been in post-production since June. I think they're almost finished with it.
