An old Mauser will work just find training cadets how to shoot, but damn, an M3? How do they still keep those things running? According to Wikipedia, they have Shermans as well.

The mighty Shermans kept on going however, and they were a rather common sight in parades. The real value of these tanks in the modern warfare is questionable at least, but their longevity is undeniably impressive. When I asked my source about the tanks, he said they had an engine rebuild and electrical rewiring a few years ago and modern FMK ammunition was procured at the time. They are given a short run each week to keep them oiled… “Is like a classic car” he said ”no AC, no Mp3 stereo, but kick the tracks, pour some gas in it and fires up beautifully”.

Oh yeah, old Israeli tanks I believe. I suppose they're perfectly fine as assault guns or infantry support. As long as you can keep them running and keep them away from modern tanks, it ought to be okay.

It looks like they removed the hull MG, but they still had someone manning the position.

Those are our old Fireflys, bought as scrap after the war. When the Tam was ready to enter service the M4s went to storage and 6 of them ended in Paraguay (during the 80´s).

Sherman Fireflies were Shermans with British 17-pounders. Israel upgunned some of their Shermans to 105mm, I'm not sure anyone else did it.
