Border Patrol and Customs got SCARs now

I just read about air units of border patrol have replaced their M14s with SCAR-Hs.

Does the SCAR H use an existing mag, like FAL/ar-10, or is it unique?

Cool. I love the H, a perfect replacement for the Fal and 7,62 rifles.

The mag looks like the metric Falīs magazine, but no idea.

Ive seen reviews of the SCAR-L civilian version that show it getting 1/2 MOA, which is unreal for a carbine, I can only imagine how badass the H will be.

I'm pretty sure the SCAR-L uses standard STANAG magazines for the AR-15/M16 series.

k9870 07-14-2010 02:01 AM

It does. I wonder if FN will ever have production of the SCAR high enough that it will be in the ar-15 price range.

Excalibur 07-14-2010 02:02 AM

I think the SCAR-H also uses the same magazines the SR-25 uses.

Mmm, just think about how many companies produce the Ar receivers and parts without license (because they donīt need it).
