I thought they were too back when I used to be Catholic

Depends which type of "Catholic" the school is.

Anyway, recommend more war movies to me, dammit.

There's only one kind of Catholic. There's many kinds of Christian.

Tour of Duty

Rescue Dawn

The Lost Battalion

Downfall

Valkyrie

Generation Kill

The Kingdom

For a start. There's many kinds of pretty much anything.

I been trying to get Tour of Duty and The Lost Battalion forever. I gotta screencap both of those.

Not really a war movie, but The Last Detail with Jack Nicholson is just about the most honest depiction of military life I've ever seen in a movie. Bill Badusky could easily be the Seargent I worked under when I spent a summer driving a G Wagon in Wainwright.

The Last Detail is pretty enjoyable. One of Randy Quaid's earliest film roles. The movie gives new meaning to "cuss like a sailor".
