"International"? Movie Firearms Data Base?
 

I've caught some of our users (on other sites/forums) mention that they contribute to IMFDB, which is great, but I've seen more than one member mis-identify IMFDB as "International" Movie Firearms DataBase. It's not "International", it's "Internet".

I actually think International sounds good. Anyone else feel like changing it?

Well since this is more of an offshoot of Internet Movie Database, I think it should stay that way

NOT. When you change it to international, every dork from every basement on the planet will challenge us to remake the entire thing to be more 'international'. We've already had that argument with people overseas already. We don't need to encourage anarchy from casual users from other countries.

I simply think that the "Internet" part is unnecessary. And, if we change it to something with the same name, we wouldn't have to change our embroidered napkins and engraved belt buckles.

Well it makes sense. We are THE Internet Movie Firearms Database. Do you know any other site that can hold that moniker like we do?

I know y'all are still angry about that other topic, but let's chill.

Anyway, I am squarely in the "who gives a damn?" crowd on this. We're on the Internet, we document guns in Movies (and TV shows, anime, and VGs, but mostly movies), and we're a Database. That's all there is to it. Unless the term "Movies" implies American media only.

So really, no debate needed.

The word internet pretty much implies an international community. We've got people from other countries besides the US
