I just attempted to shotgun a can of Pepsi (since I can't legally drink beer yet).

I was more or less successful.

Why would you even want to do that?

S&Wshooter 03-26-2014 01:37 AM

I'm about to get a job, did the interview and drug test today

I shotgunned a can of beer back during my college days - once.

I wanted to do something stupid that would result in me getting killed.

Go to Beaumont and walk around a while; not in town, but in the residential areas. That'll definitely result in a terminal case of DEATH

S&Wshooter 04-07-2014 08:14 PM

I can now sell alcohol in the state of Texas, and it only took 4 hours to get certified to do so

Spartan198 04-14-2014 04:16 PM

Anyone find it funny how the most futuristic-looking ship in the US Navy's arsenal is commanded by a captain named James Kirk?

SPEMack618 04-17-2014 08:53 PM

Shotgunning is bad kids, very very bad. If you must drink bad beer in large quantities, do it the old fashion way: the keg stand.

Oh, and um, yeah, guess who pins on railroad tracks 4Jun2014?

S&Wshooter 04-27-2014 05:20 AM

Doctor's got me taking Flexeril because I'm a friggin' cripple, and it's supposed to make me drowsy. All it's done so far is make me 1000% going to sleep rather than doing whatever (like "yeah, I guess I could sleep") and make me think things like drinking way too much milk are decent ideas

S&Wshooter 04-30-2014 04:47 AM

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I come on here and look at the "who's online" thing, somebody is looking at that weird birthday thread someone made years back for me

S&Wshooter 05-04-2014 07:14 AM

My hip pain keeps getting worse; I just dipped into the (emergency) painkillers I was prescribed for it, which pretty much never happens

EDIT: oh hey, 3 posts in a row

Cecil Adam's column today is about gun buybacks do they work. (spoilers: no)
"On the unlikely assumption that the number of gun deaths is strictly proportional with the number of guns, the typical buyback reduces the death toll by one-thirtieth of one corpse."

Part of me has to feel just a wee bit sorry for people who fall for gun buy backs but another part of says, "Why didn't you do some research and see how much the handgun is before selling for $50 (anyone ever actually seen even a .22 for this cheap?) or a long gun for $100". I pity the fool who thinks gun buy backs do any good.

So yesterday, while visiting the USS Hornet, I learned a little factoid I never knew before: I have a Medal of Honor recipient in my family.

There's a general in mine, but the super distant "in name only at this point" part that's up north somewhere

Swordfish941 10-07-2014 04:08 PM

Yesterday, I had my dog (who I had since I was in Kindergarten) put down. Ut was pretty sad, but it was also for the best.

SPEMack618 10-07-2014 10:56 PM

My little sister got into her number one college choice. Which is where Mom, our older sister, and I went.

Spartan198 10-18-2014 05:16 PM

Sorry to hear that. Last month a cat I'd had since I was 18 passed away, so I know what you're feeling.

If you think there is "a" (singular) ET porno, then you are living in blissful ignorance.

Yes, I know there are more.

And wonder why people made them? NOBODY wants to beat off to a porn version of a classic family film.

Swordfish941 11-13-2014 03:37 AM

My dog just got neutered today, and has to wear "the cone of shame" for a week.

Swordfish941 11-20-2014 11:11 PM

I have some news: my grandpa recently passed away, but he went peacefully in his sleep. I'm feeling sort of depressed right now.
