[quote=Yournamehere;35000] For a legitimate carry holster I'm torn between a Galco Summer Comfort IWB or the Galco Classic Lite shoulder rig. [quote]

I love my Summer comfort and i believe you would probably use that more then a shoulder rig.

Sweet!!!!!!

Swapped the straight backstrap grip panel on my S&W 4505, to the factory curved or arched grip. Like it much better, before it felt like holding a 2x4.

All my "tacticool" AR parts came in from Primary Arms for my new M4 build. Mostly Daniel Defense and Magpul stuff, one or two parts by YHM and Bravo.

Spades of Columbia 05-09-2012 08:14 PM

i got the C-More sight into the store today so i put it on my new KSG to see what she would look like all dressed up...and she is sexy as hell! It even works with the magpul open sights...needless to say the C-more is coming home with me

S&Wshooter 05-20-2012 03:44 AM

Several hundred rounds of ammo; .45 ACP and 9mm

a brand new looking H&R 929, short version

k9870 05-20-2012 06:47 PM

went looking at carry guns, idont see why so many people love the lcp it is way too small for my hand. Love the p238 though so may hold off for a 938

ordred some 762x25 so i can shoot my tokarev.

Spades of Columbia 05-23-2012 11:20 PM

I got a carlson enforcer compensator for my KSG today but when i went to install it i found that i could not for the life of me get that factory thread protector off...I guess I will have to wait tell tomorrow to have a better gunsmith than myself to take a stab at it.

Nice. Do you plan to get a light for it? And got any hollow points? Because I really hope the mag is filled with range ammo for the range

Well the rail on the USP is some kind of weird proprietary rail so I would need to get an adapter for it if I was to put anything on it. I don't think I'm going to put a light on it anyways, I got a Remington 870 with a Surefire 618 for HD anyways. Ammo is Federal American Eagle FMJ, yup range ammo and unfortunately I've been too busy to take it out to the range.

Excalibur 06-22-2012 06:49 PM

I think Insight makes a light for it, the M2, the UTL M2 was designed for the USP.

If you got the money, Surefire X300

You could get a pro-mag adapter.

You shouldn't limit yourself with what you can add to your gun. Even if you have a light on your shotgun, you should get a light for your home defense handgun

And what kind of defensive ammo are you going to put in it? Make sure whatever you pick, you take it to the range and shoot a box of them at least to see if they run in your gun without problems

predator20 06-25-2012 07:12 PM

USP for me too and no I didn't do it to copy AdAstra. I tried to bid on some earlier this year, but didn't work out. It's an older one but listed as NIB and unfired. Got it mainly because of the date code KD made in '93 first year they were introduced. I was planning getting a S&W 659 too, but loaned my bro some money. 659 will have to wait. This is an auction pic.

Yournamehere 06-25-2012 09:11 PM

Looks like they've changed the rollmarks on the lower frame. Your first year production model has the HK logo and USP in small letters while current production models have USP in large and somewhat sloppy letters filling the whole smooth area where the mark is.

I'd really like to hear some reviews on the gun since its ergonomics coupled with its use of a polymer frame while retaining a traditional double action trigger really peak my interest.

AdAstra2009 06-26-2012 04:42 AM

Took it to the range a couple days ago and put 100 rounds of Federal FMJ rounds through it with no hiccups. Feels great but I feeled like it was shooting a little low. I've been reading up and it seems that with the USP there is a tendency to pull down or something and that the point of impact with the sights is directly behind the front sight and not on top of it.

Though I'm also going to put into account my limited experience with handguns and human error.

What kind of hold were you using, 12 or 6 o'clock? Manufacturers tend to switch between the two.

It looks like it will be a while before I get my USP. The seller is leaving out of town on Thurs for two weeks, I priority mailed the payment so it would make by Weds. But my FFL is out of town till Sun and no copy of his license to send the guy. Just wonderful. :(

Whats the difference, I can't find a good explanation on google.

12 o'clock isn't really the right term. Some pistols you aim right at the bullseye. Others require a 6 o'clock hold where you aim just below the bullseye. Wasn't sure if that was the reason you were hitting low.

S&Wshooter 06-28-2012 12:59 AM

My father and I bought a ton of .223 and .45 the other day at a gunshow in Pasadena

I almost walked out of there with a new Mosin, but when I took a closer look at it, it didn't seem to be in as good of condition as it appeared to be

k9870 06-30-2012 02:22 PM

i take my ccw course tmrw, have a bodyguard 30 and a pocket holster but want a small but major caliber iwb gun soo, thinking of trying to track down a shield 9mm but those are vaporware here right now.

AdAstra2009 07-01-2012 08:40 PM

I don't think If I ever got a carry permit that I'd even carry the weapon on me in the first place. I'd probably get one just so I can keep it in my glove-box or something just in case.

Well not with that attitude

Kirill 07-02-2012 04:18 PM

Speaking of glove box, I've been wondering is there any portable handgun vault in the market? One that can be locked with a key and carried around.

You could get a regular gun case and get some locks

Once I turn 21, I'm definitely putting a pistol in the middle console of my Expedition

Sweet rifle! I'm going to the gunshop/range tomorrow to shoot a bit and ask them where the fuck my '74 is, and why has it been 5 months since I have heard anything about its status.

S&Wshooter 07-08-2012 02:06 AM

My father gave me the Winchester 1300 (that he bought from a family friend after her husband died) that had been sitting in the safe, unused, for several years

It looks almost exactly like this one here

Yeah they are hard to find right now. Don't know if it's the parts kits or the receivers that's holding them up. May be a combination of both. There's a few of these on GB right now if you want to go that route.

The '74 is already paid for. I'm getting tired of waiting for it

I can't wait to get in some range time with the 1300. I'm going to the indoor range today , so I might get to shoot it a bit, but that depends on if they allow shotguns (I don't exactly know what their rules are). I'm going to raise hell about that '74 while I'm there, since the range is connected to the gunshop I ordered it from.

Get your money back.

S&Wshooter 07-09-2012 12:32 AM

Bastards wouldn't let me shoot the 1300 without buying some heavily marked up ammo from them

While I was at the range, I picked up a new ProMag made magazine for my 459

S&Wshooter 07-09-2012 02:05 AM

After I handled and examined it for a bit, I've come to the conclusion that the 1300 feels more "solid" than any other shotgun I have handled, ever.

What's not to like about a military issue firearm that you can buy for not that much more than the cost of a video-game.

I got one about a month or so ago. Most shops around here charge $160 for them. Found one that had them for $120. So my dad and I both got one. It's okay I guess, though I shot mine reasonably well the first time out with the irons. But it had a real sticky bolt. All the spent cases looked fine and too cheap to buy a headspace gauge. We did some work on the extractors, (his was sticky as well but not as bad as mine) that seemed to take care of it. My dad has already sporterized his, turned the bolt handle down and mounted a scope. I'm leaving mine as is.

mpe2010 07-14-2012 12:32 AM

I dont know if this is the right thread but i dont feel like starting a new one so here goes:

I am considering trading in my Ruger p94dc in 40 S&W for another handgun of equal or not much more price. This would just be a range/ranch gun and i would prefer it to be in 9mm. What would you guys suggest for around the $300 mark?
