But if it works for you, it works for you.

If you have big enough hands (which he seems to), your thumbs will still extend past the top of the slide even if you keep them pretty far forward. But it's actually one of the reasons why I don't think everyone should necessarily be encouraged to use high grips (even though that's the trend nowadays).

Seems these days everybody thinks you should go thumbs forward in the isoscelese stance. Whateer the competitors are doing is the "cool" and "correct" way. Honestly i say do what works for you, no one grip its everyone.

Apparently springfield ejectors are fairly loose and some models were not pinned. maybe a loose ejectors causing your problems?

Ejector seems fine. The extractor tunnel was pretty filthy. I swapped in a 16lb spring also. I purchased a few more 1911 mags since they were on sale (be here Tues), I plan to take it back out next weekend if all goes well.

BTW you need another wheelgun. The autos are just so dominant.....not that thats bad, bt its an excuse for more guns.

I got footage of my 586 and 442. I'll be uploading them today or tomorrow.

I plan on picking up a Model 19 or 66 snub in the future, 29 also probably a 4".

New gun you guys haven't seen. Got it just last week.

Very solid double taps you had going there. I like how you can see the bullet fragments hit the ground every time you hit the steel plate. Not too bad with the steel spinner, I've done worse. The classic "after a couple misses, deep breath, mental pep talk, back on target" technique is evident. ;)

Hope you were dropping those mags on nice and soft grass, it's not always good for them when they got dropped a lot.

Great vids though. :)
