I'm screencapping The Brothers Grimm, and I had a question.

Can I include the crossbow that Heath Ledger uses in one of the early scenes? I've seen a number of pages that include weapons that aren't firearms, such as the bow/knife in Rambo, but I figured I would ask anyway.

Knives, crossbows, and such are frowned upon. AFAIK, we still have yet to come up with a good policy about such weapons here.

But if we did and I missed it, can somebody point me to it?

I'd be interested to see something like that too, as far as I remember there's sections in all 4 Rambo movies with screencaps of his bow (A crossbow is more of a firearm than that.....) and his knife. On the Grindhouse page there's a section for machetes. Reign of Fire has a section for a crossbow as well as a harpoon gun.

If a crossbow is the ONLY think you can put down and no actual guns. No that page will be deleted. Rambo is an exception cause it's freaking Rambo

I could say the same thing about Heath Ledger :P

Knives, swords, bows, crossbows and other non-firearm weapons can be included by preference of the maker of the page for trivia matters. But like Excalibur01 said, if the film features nothing but these weapons, it doesn't belong on IMFDb.

That makes sense and I agree with it, thanks for the information.

Yes. Agreed. And as I pointed out to another member recently, the page MUST be dominantly FIREARMS, however for the sake of completeness, various other weapons 'can' be added to the bottom of the page, but they must be in the definite MINORITY and they must have some obvious and important screen time (not an incidental appearance).. Remember it's the Internet Movie FIREARMS DataBase.

If you can try to do some research, see if the flintlock rifles are actual rifles and not just muskets.

exactly. When I built the page for The Yakuza the last entry was for the sword action. It was an intergral part of the story, but the guns dominated.
