Modern Warfare 2 looks awesome.

Not sure if this is the proper section for this topic, but it has to be said. The line between video games and Hollywood just got a lot thinner.

The shots seen in the talk section really wowed me. There's a guy there wielding a Desert Eagle (hang with me on this one). Thing is, he's carrying it like he frickin' knows how to use it. The grip is so excellent that it made me forget that he was holding yet another one of those things...and tricked me into thinking that it was a real-world shot of a developer airsoft shooting or posing with one.

Can't wait for this game.

Too bad they still need to have the ever-present deeg. Realism is good ive given up on relaism in video games though. I play for the fun factor now. And Modern warfare 2 definitely has that going for it, lots of guns and things to shoot with them.
cant wait for multiplayer. (just need to get the xbox fixed)

Yeah, I wish they'd dump the Desert Eagle, too. And here's hoping the SAS gets their L119A1 carbines instead of "generic" M4s.

Well technically it really is an M4, just not made in the US. There are some slightly noticable features, but it's an M4A1 plain as that.

And yeah the Desert Eagle is over rated in gaming and they should get rid of it for something better or at least different. Why not a CZ 75 or a Browning Hi-power.

I'm a nut for realism, though. I like a given SOF unit (whether it be SEALs, SAS, or whatever) in a movie or game to be portrayed accurately and I consider the weapons they're holding a key element.

Why not have the russians carrying makaarovs or tokarevs instead of m9s and 1911s? Or that new 9x19m pistol there starting to issue? Ak-74s instead of 47s?

Weapons common amongst shooters, like the cz75/85 and cz-97s, Sig p220/26/29. Walther p99s? A LWRC IAR? would be cool as a automatic rifle.

I'd love that, too.

Yeah, those would be good, especially the SIGs, P99s, and the IAR.

I hope the brazil militia are realistic. Like, if i see them all decked out in tacticool, ill flip. They should have some good guns, but also be a little ratag, with bolt action rifles and stoer shotguns, and mostly taurus handguns, pt92s and wheelguns. If i see them all with benelli m1014s and BEretta 92s i may scream.

Also, two thins that have never been fixed, ever.

Psitols should be portrayed as close range and hard to use, not something that goes exacly on taret with each shot and hits 100 yards away.

And, i ahve never seen this.......A REAL SIGHT PICTURE.
We all know you cnat see rear, front sights and target equally clear. A little blurred vision would help realism. Giving weapons ability to jam wold also be cool. Not like far cry though, there system made no sense. Have it like, you jump in mud with the m4 and it starts jammin, not the system based on total usage where the whole gun goes form prisitine to rust in like 4 mags

I'm not liking the look of Modernwarfare II, it just looks like Rainbow six Vegas II but with a different name.

Excalibur 05-29-2009 01:50 AM

Not really, the graphics are just like COD4, almost exactly like it. It's like an expansion than a whole new game. Vegas 2 had the same color tones and lighting as the first one.

Now, if Modern Warfare 2 had a 3rd person cover system, the capability to switch firing modes, and squad based combat and takes places in Vegas, THEN you can call it Rainbow Six Vegas 2
