So I was about to log into my Yahoo email and something I've never seen popped up in the news section. A link to an article on Business Insider about the FAL

Good article. If a little saddening, the "free world's rifle" will be sorely missed.

However, as long as they're are guys like me who day dream about wearing cut off fatigues, boots with no socks, slouch hats, and carrying Portugese marked FN-FALs along the Rhodesian frontier, the rifle's legacy will live on.

See, this is why Dennis Croukamp ended up with is feet worn down to the bone

It's still an awesome rifle. I want to get one in the future.

Ha! I just finished "The Bush War in Rhodesia" a week or so ago.

I've been on a Bush War binge as of late.

Well, at least he still has feet, I'd be concerning with loosing my whole foot due to trench foot and gangrene if I spent all day in wet socks.
