Political Ads

Is there any way we can get rid of those Ron Paul ads that keep popping up on the site? Last I checked, this was IMFDB, not freakin' C-Span or Sunday morning CNN. So far as I'm concerned, political ads of any sort have no place on IMFDB and should not be allowed.

Well, it's google ads. Ultimately unless it's something really obnoxious / dangerous, I think grin and bear it is the only option; we already know Bunni runs the site at a loss.

Ads are revenue, whoever pays for ads can have em.

Out of curiosity, if we all click the ads like 100 times a day, will that help Bunni out?

My friend tried that with his site, and Google told him to cut it out or he gets nothing

I might be talking out of my ass, but...don't Google ads usually reflect your own browsing history, or at least perceived interests of the targeted demographics? I used to see lots of ads for outdoor/firearms online retailers on here.
