Hot damn the P-80 somethings were blocky and awful.

The SR 9 is cool though, heard mixed things about it, but it's cheap and it's a Ruger. Not a fan of mag disconnect.

But the shooting community never liked Ruger's semiautos. Seriously I LIKE their new gun lines. Don't know if you have ever shot their older pistols (P85, P89, P94, etc.) but they are NOT COMFORTABLE to shoot and the ergonomics of the slide release, mag release, etc. are completely ALIEN to human hands.......

And there is the fact that some of them tend to fall apart and/or fire bursts of 2+ at random

Your isolated case of the full auto p90 is not common and rugers are built like tanks, not prone to falling apart.

I've heard many, many tales of them falling apart

And I know many, many happy ruger owners. My friend had a dog named ruger.

I hope you don't mind.
Does this watermark look OK? (Watermark opacity at 20%)

I like the corner one, covering gun just looks bad.

ManiacallyChallenged 02-04-2011 09:51 AM

The corner is a mediocre deterrent at best, but watermarks over the image I do not go for. It's a slippery slope, very hard call to make, etc.
At the end of the day, the pictures look much better and less distracting without the watermark. No watermark may not be a tenable solution however.

Up to you MPM, this stuff is your baby.

You're right. Watermark over the picture doesn't look good.

Here's another option. This one would require some work but I'm pretty sure it would be deterrent.

Needs more gradation. You can circumvent this in MS Paint by setting the erase tool to erase the one color of the watermark. You can also use the instant alpha function in Preview for Mac. It would be a tad time consuming, though very simple.
