And I wonder how many nerds are going to complain about the post-credits scene with Pietro and Wanda (specifically, the powers that Wanda displayed). |
It looks like they're actually going forward with the American remake of The Raid. I've long been against the idea of American adaptations of foreign films, especially action films, but the one silver lining here is that an American remake would almost definitely feature real guns rather than going all airsoft.

The unexpected villain reveal was really lame. I called him Insta-douche...cause it came out of no where
|
Just got back from seeing The Raid 2, and everyone who liked the first one needs to go see it right friggin' now. I thought it was better than the first, and they seriously stepped it up for this sequel
|
Also, I bought State of Decay the other day. It is difficult, but pretty fun
|
Has anyone seen the Arnold movie Sabotage? I wanted to but now it's no where to be found

New CoD trailer. Villainous Kevin Spacey is the best Kevin Spacey. This sort of looks like an even crazier version of BO2.

Watching the CoD trailer again, it's hard to believe this franchise started with World War II. You've got exosuits, hover bikes, walking tanks, and invisible choppers now.

Beverly Hills Cop IV in development. Short of filthy standup special ala Delirious, I guess this is the closest we'll get to vintage Eddie Murphy.

If you watch the reboot Dredd movie, it has a very similar premise to The Raid. Except instead of a bunch of cops, it's 2 going into an apartment complex controlled by a drug dealer who calls on the residents to her aid and one of the Judges has a history with the apartment or like it and at the end of the movie, it involves corrupt cops.
About the weapon usage of the Raid, I found a little of it being inconsistent. How is a fully outfitted team running out of ammo that quickly, also no reloads for their pistols. They made little attempts to reconfirm to HQ that they are even here and how no one realizes that an entire team didn't show up for work that day or went on a mission without approval. I understand this is primarily a martial arts movie, so the guns needed to go out the window fast. |
La Horde is another pretty similar concept. But with zombies! Don't zombies make everything better?
Well, no. The Raid and Dredd were both better movies. |
Interesting Cracked article on movie trends.
http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/4...e-wrong-about/ With all those remakes, how has no one thought to remake The Last Starfighter? There's even a great potential corporate tie-in, since instead of an arcade machine, they could make it an XBox Live Arcade or PSN game. |

La Horde was decent, though; at least worth watching. I would have liked it better if literally the stupidest person out of the cops didn't end up being the last alive |

Ordered a copy of this the other day, got it earlier, just started it a second ago
http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Dark_of_the_Sun So far, the quality is great; way better than expected |
If you liked The Wild Geese, you'll probably like Dark of the Sun
|
I have a feeling that this piece of shit movie will suck, but will also be a hit at the box office:

Well, it's an Adam Sandler movie. What do you expect?

Batfleck and new Batmobile. It's a shame it's in B&W, I'd like to see the colors.

For as big as Gambit was in the nineties, I'm surprised he's only been in one of the X-men movies.

I like my bat-mobiles long, and my bat-ears short. Also, I like the fact that they have finally given him a utility belt that looks like it could actually hold something (you need to brighten the image to make out some of the suit details properly).
|
There's a The Dark Knight Returns look about the suit with the tiny ears and bat symbol.

I never understood how the Tumbler could smash through anything with those exposed front wheels.
|
Well it's kinda like a monster truck set really low and it must be heavy. It was designed as a military vehicle

I forgot about the jumping part. So it's lightweight with exposed wheels, like a Formula 1 or Indy car. |

I'm not sure how they could do a Blade Runner sequel with Harrison Ford.
<<Spoilers for a thirty year old film ahead>> Since Deckard was supposed to be a replicant himself (at least according to Ridley Scott), and they said that replicants have a limited lifespan, how would they explain his age? Are they going to do the CGI mask thing they did with Tron? And I always heard Harrison Ford absolutely hated doing the first one. Why would he come back again, especially with the same director? http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...classic-704422 |
Well, this convinces me that Alien: Isolation won't be a train wreck like Aliens: Colonial Marines. And Colonial Marines looked like it had a lot of potential;
